How important is it to drink water when trying to lose weight? 

Additional Details

I can usually do 4 to 6 cups of water per day, but gag after awhile. I really like the mix-ins like crystal light, but feel like I might as well drink diet soda over water mix-in because they are both full of sweeteners and food coloring and I really like diet soda the best. Am I wrong?
