After getting employment visa to work in Dubai, Is it necessary to join duty immediately in the company?

I am M.Sankaralingam, living in Tamilnadu, India and recently I have been selected as Site-Engineer (Electrical) in AL Shirawi Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Co.LLC, Dubai for 4500 dirham. I am 37 years old with 17 years Indian experience in electrical field and I am very new to abroad. I don't know about visa processing & work permit etc. Now I am waiting for visa. I think it will take 1 month time.
