What is the difference between a ipod touch 2g and a ipod touch 3g 8gb when it comes to jailbreaking?

If i were to use like a sn0wbreeze to jailbreak 4.1 but its for 4.1 on ipod touch 2g and mine is a 3g 8gb? Should i use a 2g tool or 3g tool like limera1n for 4.1?
