I need to know information about child custody in the state of Hawaii..Here the story comes...?

My wife has a 4 years old child..her x is always giving her trouble..and his place and family are not clean and she took many bad habbits from him and his family..when she is there she never wears cleans clothes or something in her feet while she's walking..many things that i can't remember bcuase they r too much..now he turned the child against us as she always come and says mom leave and go back to my dad she started saying this while she is 3 or may be less(how come a 3 years child says that?)when we go to pick her up from her dad she always crys and throw her self on the floor and really gives us a hard time..we moved her with us and she's in school now and she is really making good but every time her dad takes her she comes back like stupid..like when we ask her about any thing she was good at like math for example she says i don't know..we remind her and its like she remembers every thing alone and she completes what we asked her..last weel her dad picked her up and he refused to give us the kid again..so we filled in court for custody..the issue is really bad and that's not fair for the child..since her dad don't care even about her school he didn't make her go for a week now and he doesn't work and he only takes money from the gov. we need our child to be with us..any help from any one will be one step forward..and is there any age that the child must spend with her mom mentioned by law (like in Egypt the child till the age of 18 must be with the mom..stated by law) he holds her and he don't want us even to talk with her and he made her really affraid of her mom and he don't want her to go with her..and we've been nice with him for many years we did every thing we could..even we delayed going to court because we thought it's not fair for the child..but when it comes to the child future and health..then we should go to court..help us guys please..we need it..and we need our baby with us.
